BEHIND THE SONG
How a personalised SongGift is created
A good personalised song begins with the small details that make somebody unmistakably themselves: a favourite saying, a shared joke, a place that brings back a memory, or the way they make other people feel.
1. You tell us about the person
The brief asks about the person, occasion, relationship and feeling. You do not need to write lyrics or know musical language. Honest, specific details are more useful than a polished speech.
The details that seem ordinary to you can make the song feel completely personal to them.
2. Bruce and Ray review the story
Bruce and Ray check the brief, timing and selected package. Submitting a brief does not place an order or take payment. If the project is a good fit, the customer receives a secure payment link.
3. The story is shaped for music
Bruce and Ray select the strongest memories, arrange them into a clear story and shape words that can be sung naturally. Technology assists the creative process; Bruce and Ray listen, compare, refine and take responsibility for the finished SongGift.
4. You choose what feels right
Depending on the package, you hear a choice of musical interpretations based on the same story. The aim is to find the version that carries the person’s character and the emotion behind the gift.
5. The keepsake is prepared
After the agreed revision process, each selected song is delivered in MP3 and WAV formats with its included keepsakes. SongGift retains the relevant creation and licence records for every finished track.
Sharing the finished song
Personal-use permission allows the customer to keep the song, share it with friends and family and play it at personal occasions. Commercial or monetised use requires written approval for the specific track.
